For Pratt Doucet, the mission of Red Cloud Benefits is personal. A proud enrolled member of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, Pratt has spent his life bridging the gap between industry expertise and tribal advocacy.
After earning his bachelor's in marketing from the University of Louisiana Lafayette, Pratt built a reputation for driving growth in the private sector. In San Antonio, Texas, he led marketing and business development for TotalWound Treatment Center, helping the company expand across 11 states. His experience with high-stakes management continued in the Texas oil and gas industry, eventually becoming the President of his own company, AmPro. However, the corporate ladder couldn't compete with a deeper calling: the desire to serve his community.
Throughout the years, Pratt has maintained a close connection with his home. He has held a variety of roles such as coordinating the San Antonio branch for Casino Player Development, supervising the Tribal Millworks as General Manager, and consulting with his Tribe’s Grant Department for over a decade. From 2007 to 2011, Pratt was elected and served as a Tribal Council Member where he spearheaded critical initiatives in energy and the development of tribal health clinics. It was here, at the intersection of policy and people, that Pratt saw the vital need for specialized insurance expertise within tribal nations.
After his time on Tribal Council, Pratt pivoted to the insurance sector, earning his license and achieving lifetime membership in Aflac’s prestigious President’s Club. But he wanted to offer more than just policies; he wanted to offer advocacy.
Today, as the Founder and President of Red Cloud Benefits, Pratt leads a team with seven decades of combined industry experience. He has transformed his deep understanding of tribal governance and healthcare into a powerhouse consultancy.
Pratt Doucet remains a trusted navigator of the intricate tribal landscape, dedicated to building lasting impact through transparency, expertise, and a lifelong commitment to his heritage.
